Rhinoplasty Package by Bangkok Hospital

IPD Case 1 night: 100,000 Baht

The Package Includes:

  • Accommodation for 1 nights in the surgical floor including : Room, Nursing Service Charges, Service Charges, Regular menu food charges
  • Operating Room Charges ; OR Room Use, Recovery Room, Scrub & Circulate Nurse
  • Medical Equipment and Medical Supplies necessary for the procedure
  • Medications : Routine medication used
  • Anesthesia : Pre-Anesthetic Drugs, Anesthesia, Medical Gas (Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide)
  • Doctor Fees : Surgeon, Anesthesiologist

The Package Excludes:

  • Take home medications and supplies
  • Laboratory Testing necessary for the procedure if required by surgeon as CBC, PT & PTT, Urine analysis, Anti HIV
  • Radiology Studies : Chest X-ray, if required
  • Other charges not related to the procedures
  • Charges for other procedure or other plastic surgery
  • Charges for OPD incurred prior to the surgery
  • Charges for inpatient stay in excess of 1 nights. Additional charges for these days including room and other charges will be added to the package price at  
  • A normal hospital rates
  • Charges for intensive care, if necessary
  • Items of a personal nature such as in-room drinks, telephone charges and guest meals will be charged at the normal rates in effect

Notice:

  • The package is applicable for elective, uncomplicated patients. Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not qualify for the package: Bleeding Disorders Patients with underlying severe medical problems such as HIV and uncontrolled diabetes
  • Valid Until - December 31, 2009 

What is a Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty Reduction is a surgical procedure done to reduce the size of certain parts of the nose resulting in a more natural look. The procedure is also performed on patients suffering from breathing related problems.

How is it done?
Usually the cartilage and boney portion of the nose are targeted for change. This include the tip. The bridge and the associate areas when necessary also be altered. In occasions cartilage grafting to the appropriate area may be added for the better shape of the nose.

Why is it done?
Local or general anesthesia is used for the surgery. It is done to improve looks in other occasion it is done for congenital deformities and for deformity caused by trauma.

Risks & Possible Complications
Asymmetry, Disproportion, Bleeding, Infections

Candidates
Patients with nose deformities; cases where bridge is too large; the tip is too broad; the nose is too wide at the base; or the tip is pointing too low.

Pre-procedure investigation.
A simple blood test. Some patients may require more testing such as x-rays of the nose, chest x-rays and EKGs.

Duration of hospitalization: Patients can go home after surgery or an over night stay.

Fit to fly (after operation): Usually, nasal splint is left on for about 10 days, once the splint is removed patient can fly.

Key issues:
Nasal splint, Avoid injury, Avoid blowing of nose. No exercise or heavy lifting, Avoid getting splint wet.
