About our Hair Transplant Procedures:
FUE
Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE Harvesting – individual follicular units containing 1 to 4 hairs are removed under local anesthesia; this micro removal typically uses tiny punches of between 0.6mm and 1.0mm in diameter.
Each follicle is then inserted into tiny recipient sites made by the surgeon using a placement tool. Because individual follicles are removed, only small, punctate scars remain and any post-surgical pain is minimized.
As no suture removal is required, recovery from FUE is within 7 days. However, some surgeons note that FUE can lead to a lower ratio of successfully transplanted follicles as compared to strip harvesting. Others also suggest that in case a patient would need more than one transplant, it would be difficult to find a good strip after an FUE.
FUT
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is a hair restoration technique where a patient’s hair is transplanted in naturally occurring groups of 1 to 4 hairs, called follicular units.
Follicular units also contain sebaceous (oil) glands, nerves, a small muscle, and occasional fine vellus hairs. In Follicular Unit Transplantation these small units allow the surgeon to safely transplant thousands of grafts in a single session, which maximizes the cosmetic impact of the procedure.
FUT is considered an advance over older hair transplantation procedures that used larger grafts and often produced a pluggy, unnatural look. In a properly-performed follicular unit transplant, the results will mimic the way hair grows in nature and will be undetectable as a hair transplant.
No shaven FUT or FUE
In some circumstances FUT or FUE operations may perform without shaving short cut hair. Consultation by doctor is a must to decide this operation type.
Repair Surgery
Used for fixing previous bad transplant results.
Pricing
- 1 Euro per graft. The minimum price per session is 2,500 Euros.
- Airport pickup and accommodation for 2-3 nights are included in the price.
- The maximum number of grafts to be transplanted during a 2-day procedure is 5.000
- The maximum number of grafts to be done with one technique (FUT or FUE) is 4,000, if the patient needs the maximum of 5,000 grafts both techniques have to be used.
