Center Details

Our clinic
PVSmile is a small clinic located in Cornerstone Hospital, Puerto Vallarta's newest private hospital. The hospital is ideally located and easy to reach, ten minutes from the airport, ten minutes to downtown Vallarta, and close to many top quality hotels and resorts.

As well as delivering first class dental treatments, we also strive to provide a highly personal, caring and friendly service for our clients from the moment you first contact us, as we believe this is what makes the difference. We allow plenty of time and pay great attention to detail, so that your experience with us will be as stress free and pleasant as possible. The clinic itself is equipped with everything you would expect. Some of our lab work we do ourselves on site, other restorations are undertaken by a small number of dental labs, carefully selected for the quality and promptness of their work.

We have negotiated special rates for PVSmile clients in several nearby hotels and have an apartment for use by our clients so please ask for details of these if they are of interest to you. If you would like us to, we will arrange for you to be met at the airport, taken to an air conditioned lounge while your luggage is loaded and then driven to your hotel, all as part of our service.

Treatments & Prices

Implants
Although you have a number of restorative options for the treatment of missing teeth, none have proven to be as functionally effective and durable as implants. Dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, to support a bridge or to retain a complete denture. When you lose a tooth, shrinkage of the jawbone can occur due to the space left by the missing root, causing your face to look older. Replacing the tooth with an implant prevents this from happening, whereas use of a traditional denture or dental bridge doesn't, plus the implant will normally serve its owner for life.

The determining factor is the amount of available bone. Your PVSmile dentist will evaluate whether dental implants are a viable solution.

Qualifications, Accreditations & Certifications

Dr. Noel Rivas D.D.S.
Doctor Noel Rivas graduated in 1976 from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, the private Mexican university well known amongst Health Professionals in the States for it's excellent reputation. More American Health Professionals train here than at any other university in Mexico.

Dr. Rivas has run his own private practice since then, accumulating over 30 years of practical experience. He is the founder of PVSmile.

Over the years, Dr. Rivas has regularly attended continuing education courses in Mexico and abroad. He speaks English fluently and is registered in the Canadian Consulate list of recommended professionals here in Puerto Vallarta. He serves the American and Canadian communities established here as well as people who travel specifically to get a new smile.

A good cosmetic dental surgeon requires sound technical knowledge and skills coupled with a distinctly artistic touch. Consequently it is not a specialty many dentists choose to go into, but Dr. Rivas is considered among the best in this area. Dr. Elizabeth García is a recent graduate dentist who brings youth and freshness to PV Smile. She is a general dentist but her main interest is in teeth's attachment aparatus disease prevention and treatment.

She uses ultrasound and manual instruments to remove local irritants and advises patients in the proper home  plaque control techniques.

Puerto Vallarta is a small town on the west coast of Mexico, renowned for being the friendliest city in the world. PV first came to the international scene in the 1960's with the making of the film "Night of the Iguana" here. Since then it has continued to grow in popularity both as a vacation and residential destination, but never more so than in the last five years when extensive development of all types has taken place. PV is now a major tourist spot, and attracts visitors from all over the world, including medical tourism with dental services and plastic surgery being the most sought after. World standard hotels, resorts and restaurants are easy to find here. Beach culture, including everything from luxury beach clubs to water sports, sport fishing, yacht charters and boat trips to seasonal whale watching, are all available.
