Procedure
Hair transplant consists in the resection of a strip of scalp from the back-side region. After stitching the wound, which heals in about 12-14 days. The strip is excised, the roots to be used in the procedure are fragmented; microincisions are made.

 

The transplanted hair generally begins to grow within 12 weeks and keeps growing for the rest of the patient’s life. Procedure lasts about 3 and 4 hours and a local anesthetic is used. Depending on the degree of baldness, as many as 3 procedures may be necessary to achieve the expected results.
