General Enquiry Form
The first step is to complete the General Enquiry Form. All information will be passed on to the relevant Surgeon. A cost estimate including procedure, accommodation and holiday and safari option will be forwarded to you. Please feel free to ask any questions.
Medical Form
Once you submit the General Enquiry Form, you will be asked to complete the Medical Form. This information is vital to both you and the surgeon, to facilitate the initial evaluation. Once this has been done, we will set up a telephonic consultation or, if you are in the UK, a face-to-face consultation. If you have x-rays or photographs, please submit these with your Medical Form.
UK Consultation
DRSA encourages a consultation in the UK to evaluate your procedure. By having a consultation at home, the surgeon will be able to assess your suitability for the procedure before your arrival in South Africa and thus disappointment can be avoided.
Booking Form
Once you have made your final decision, you will complete the Booking Form with your flight details. We will invoice you, and a non-refundable deposit of 25% is payable. The balance of the invoice must be paid 14 days before arrival in South Africa. On receipt of your payment, confirmation will be sent to you, along with your appointment schedule
Arrival
On arrival in Cape Town, you will be met by a representative of DRSA and transferred to your designated accommodation.
Pre-operative Consultation
A representative of DRSA will accompany you to your pre-operative appointment, to meet the surgeon, who will answer any questions. You and the surgeon must concur on expectations for the surgery. Please discuss any alternatives and understand the risks of the procedure before signing the consent form. The surgeon will confirm the cost of your procedure. Remember that the final decision is yours. A representative of DRSA will accompany you on the day/s of your procedure and ensure that you are comfortable and your needs provided for.
Post-operative Check Up
We will keep in touch on a regular basis after your return. Your after-treatment progress is as important to us as your surgery was. A face-to-face follow-up consultation will be arranged once you return to the UK, or by email or telephone if elsewhere. We strive to improve our service, and any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The Restyline lasts 5 to 10 months for wrinkles, and 6 months for lips. Restyline treatment can be used for wrinkles correction, lip enhancement, correcting fine lines.
Dental Procedures
Dental Implants
Dental implants are titanium posts that are placed in the jawbone to function similarly to a natural tooth root. This procedure is categorised as a form of prosthetic or artificial replacement dentistry, but is also considered to be cosmetic dentistry.
Although there are numerous restorative options for missing teeth, implants have proven to be the most effective and durable. Dental implants are usually the best treatment option to restore the functioning of the teeth and supporting structures.
Implant treatment is a technical and complex form of dentistry, and not all dentists have received appropriate training. If this is the case with your dentist, you would be referred to a specialist for this procedure.
After the fitting of the implant, a waiting period is necessary before the permanent crown can be inserted. Depending on bone density, this waiting period could last between 7 days and 3-4 months.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are designed to cover the front surface of the teeth in order to improve their appearance. They are wafer-thin, custom-made shells of tooth-porcelain white material, bonded to the front of the teeth to change their colour, shape and size.
Veneers are made of porcelain or resin composite materials. They are used to repair teeth that are uneven, irregularly shaped, with gaps, or teeth that have become discoloured, worn down, chipped or broken.
Dental Crowns
Dental crowns, also known as ‘caps’, restore the function of damaged teeth. Crowns can be used to protect a cracked tooth, recover the use of a tooth with excessive decay, or replace a pre-existing crown. A dental crown encases a distressed tooth with a custom-designed material.
Dental Bridges
Dental bridges literally bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. A bridge is made up of two crowns for the teeth on either side of the gap. These two teeth are known as abutment teeth, with a false tooth or teeth in between. A dental bridge is made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination of these materials.
Tooth Whitening / Bleaching
Tooth whitening is the most commonly recommended cosmetic dentistry procedure. Teeth often become stained as a result of smoking, eating certain foods, drinks such as coffee, tea, and red wine, or poor oral hygiene. There are numerous techniques used to whiten teeth, but the quickest and most effective method is the surgery-based procedure.
Dentures
The advent of implantology has revolutionised fixed and removable prosthetic dentistry treatment. It has also increased the cost of treatment. Where expense is not a consideration, appropriate treatment solutions are possible. Removable prosthetics still rely on extensive denture manufacturing knowledge and experience. Because of the current emphasis on prevention of and education about tooth and gum disease, it is no longer necessary to perform as many tooth extractions as it once was.
Those living in affluent societies today rarely need removable dentures. There are, however, still some people who require removable dentures, but not many dentists with the necessary experience to carry out such treatment. A satisfactory treatment solution is more likely to be found if cost is not an issue.
Holistic Dentistry
Holistic dentistry is a discipline of dentistry that emphasises the impact of oral health on overall health. It recognises that dental procedures and materials used can have both positive and negative effects. Holistic dentists use the least invasive procedures and the most biocompatible dental materials and techniques available.

Cape Town, South Africa Destination Overview

Whilst recuperating there are spectacular tours and day trips in and around Cape Town, and the following destinations should not be missed:
1. A trip to the top of Table Mountain by cable car
2. A Winelands and Constantia Valley wine estate tour
3. A scenic trip along the Cape Peninsula via Hout Bay, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, Chapman’s Peak Drive, and Cape Point
4. A guided tour to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated.
5. A whale watching day trip to Hermanus (July-November)
Table Mountain
Table Mountain towers majestically over Cape Town, with its highest point at 1086 metres. The awe-inspiring view over one of the world’s most beautiful cities can be taken in with a short ride to the top in a revolving aerial cable car.
Robben Island
Over the centuries it has served various functions, but Robben Island is most famous for being the prison where Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners were incarcerated. A 25 minute boat trip from the V&A Waterfront offers a guided tour, including a visit to Mandela’s cell and a former political prisoner sharing his experiences.
Cape Point
Cape Point is the Peninsula’s southernmost tip. Contrary to popular belief, it is not where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet: Cape Agulhas holds this honour. Breathtaking vistas and an abundance of natural beauty draw visitors in flocks to experience this wild area. A funicular or steps take visitors to a lookout platform at the highest point, the site of the old lighthouse, erected in 1861.
Kirstenbosch Gardens
Cecil John Rhodes bequeathed Kirstenbosch gardens to the South African people on his death in 1902. Covering an area of over 500 hectares, as well as 478 hectares of fynbos and natural forest and 36 hectares reserved solely for cultivation and research, the gardens contain almost 7000 species of indigenous plants, nearly 1000 of which occur naturally in the area. In addition to the plant life, attractions include the variety of bird life, strolls, picnics, guided tours, hiking trails, and Sunday evening summer sunset music concerts.
Chapman’s Peak Drive
Chapman’s Peak Drive, a spectacular winding10 km route, was excavated between 1915 and 1922 at the seam of layers of soft sandstone and hard granite on the mountain face. The peak itself is about 600 m high. This is one of the most gruelling sections of the annual Cape Argus cycle tour and the Two Oceans ultra-marathon.
Hout Bay
Originally a source of timber for settlers in the Cape colonial era, the secluded but rapidly growing fishing village of Hout Bay offers a number of attractions in a picturesque setting, including a boat cruise from the working harbour to the seal colony of Duiker Island and a stroll through Africa’s largest bird park, the World of Birds.
Winelands
A 45-minute drive from Cape Town will bring you to Stellenbosch, Paarl or Franschhoek’s wine routes. Steeped in history, the towns and wine estates will engage all the senses. Most estates offer wine tasting and cellar tours, with an option to purchase wine using a home delivery service. Cape Town’s Constantia Valley also offers scenic, historical estates some 20 minutes from the city centre.
V & A Waterfront
With Table Mountain as its backdrop, the V & A Waterfront complex has become Cape Town’s most popular attraction. This well-preserved working harbour offers an array of upmarket hotels, shops and boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops, cinemas, the Two Oceans Aquarium, and a craft market. Various cruises depart from here.
Castle of Good Hope
The oldest surviving structure in Cape Town, the Castle was built between 1666 and 1679, using timber from Hout Bay, stone quarried on Robben Island, and lime burnt from seashells. Once housing the Dutch East India Company, several displays portray cultural and military history dating back to the arrival of Jan van Riebeeck in 1652. The Castle overlooks the Grand Parade, the site of Jan van Riebeeck’s original fort and where Nelson Mandela made his first speech as a freed man.
Boulders Penguin Colony
Boulders Beach is one of only two land-based colonies of protected African penguins, known as ‘jackass’ penguins because of their call. Penguins have right of way, and this is a unique opportunity to stop at this pleasant beach with its distinctive granite rocks and mingle with them. The warmer waters of False Bay make a swim in the sea very inviting.
Hermanus – Whale Watching
Offering the best land based whale watching, Hermanus is an hour and a half from Cape Town. In winter, Southern Right Whales migrate to these warm waters to calf, and are most common between August and November. The world’s only official whale crier alerts people to the presence of whales by blowing his kelp horn. This is a full day trip, and there are numerous accommodation options should you decide to stay overnight.

Sanbona boasts 54 000 hectares of undulating mountains and plains, indigenous flora and fauna, rock formations and rock art.
Sanbona is home to white lions and big game as well as the rare riverine rabbit. The White Lion Project at Sanbona aims to return white lions to the wild. This will make Sanbona home to the only free-roaming white lions in the world.

Sundowner evening drives offer spectacular displays of light as the evening sunsets over the Little Karoo. Returning to the Lodge, nocturnal animals can often be seen.
ROCK ART
The San people of Africa roamed the area for thousands of years until 100 years ago. There are 7 Sites throughout Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, rock art sites dating back to more than 3500 years depicting the spiritual beliefs and lives of these fascinating people. During their travels, members of the group would congregate around a communal fire, weaving stories and celebrating the gift of life while the Shaman would meditate through rhythmic dancing, singing and clapping and while in a trance, receive visions and guidance. This medicine man or woman would ensure the well being of the tribe, protecting them from evil and sickness, predicting the future and ensuring good hunting and rains. Certain animals such as the Praying Mantis and the Eland were honoured and revered and were considered to have great spiritual powers.

A favourite amongst travellers in search of luxury accommodation, Bush Lodge is a luxurious safari escape set in the heart of the Sabi Sabi bushveld overlooking a waterhole and an African plain. Bush Lodge's charm is evident from the outset. Here you will savour uncompromising high standards of service, efficiency and personalised attention.
Earth Lodge is a sanctuary symbolising a new era in luxury South African safari lodges. Sculpted into a slope of the earth, almost invisible in the landscape, the lodge uses texture, light and space to present a lodge like no other. Taking its cue from the surrounding environment, it has been described as the most environmentally sensitive lodge in Africa. Earth Lodge reveals itself in a series of sensory revelations. On arrival a hidden corridor leads you down on a journey to a unique and unforgettable experience. The unexpected entrance opens to a panorama of uninterrupted bushveld. As in nature everything at Earth Lodge exists in harmony and you are immediately aware of a sense of calm and a restoring spirit.
Morning Safaris
An early morning call from the Ranger will wake you before first light, while the kitchen brews hot coffee or tea, and prepares cool fruit juices with a muffin, rusk or other freshly made delicacy. So begins the morning safari. The bush is already alive, the air filled with birdsong as the rising sunlight dances off beads of dew on spiders' webs. Nobody, not even the tracker who can read the bushveld like a book, knows what's in store. He will watch the road for spoor, leaning forward intently to find any print left by a predator during its hunt in the dark.
Morning Guided Bush Walk
Renowned for luxury experiences, Sabi Sabi isn't all about phenomenal game drives and exceptional dining. Opportunities for education and adventure are definitely on the cards for those interested and energetic. The walk is an opportunity to feel the pulse of Africa through the soles of your feet and experience the bushveld at close quarters.
Evening Safaris
Evening falls and you prepare for the night safari. As the fierce heat of the day cools, the inhabitants of the bush become restless, and the animals move out of the shade of the trees. You will be aware of colours softening to the beautiful, gentle hues that vary with each season. Watch in awe as the sky turns to the sensational vibrant reds, golds and oranges typical of an African sunset. It is during evening safaris that the nocturnal hunters start stirring, and their prey needs to be alert for survival through the night.
