Specialty hospital, which has been accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and by the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC), is eager to keep a unique position in the Middle East by applying the international standards of the ISO 9001/2000, HACCP. The Specialty hospital was also rewarded the King Abdullah II award for excellence which is the most prestigious award on the country level.

Since the specialty hospital is involved in serving the community in a safe manner, we applied the standards and awarded the certificate ISO 14001 and OSHAS, which guarantee a better use of resources to be more environmentally friendly and safe workplace for our staff.

Our hospital is a unique medical institution located in Amman-Jordan, with 250 beds , with full range of medical and surgical specialties. Our doctors, nurses, and staff are dedicated to working together to provide the best possible care using their knowledge, skills and experience.

History :
The official dedication of the specialty hospital was under the royal patronage in 1993.

It is divided into two parts. The first contains the outpatient clinics, which includes a group of the most brilliant specialists, and the other part is the main building of the hospital, which contains the patients' rooms, medical and surgical departments, the emergency room, the management offices, and the other departments. All the hospital facilities are designed to serve handicaps.

The specialty hospital participated in the World Medical Tourism Conference in San Francisco

Under the umbrella of the private hospitals association, the specialty hospital participated in the World Medical Tourism Conference in San Francisco-United States. This conference is considered to be a very good opportunity for Jordan to be marketed as a medical tourism destination.
The specialty hospital issued negotiations with different insurance companies and is in the process to sign some agreements with these companies.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, the general manager of the specialty hospital and the chairman of the private hospitals association, presented a lecture about Jordan as a medical tourism destination. The PHA , and in cooperation with the Jordan Tourism Board  offered two round tickets to Jordan for one participant in the conference, this prize was a great motivation for the participants to visit the Jordanian booth which in turn helped to market the Jordanian hospital.

The specialty hospital participate in the second IMTC manila- Philippine.

The Private Hospitals Asspciation participated in the second international medical travel conference held in manila- Philippines in the period 20-23 November 2007.

IMTC is the global event platform for all involved in medical travel to meet and address the core issues such as patients' perception of overseas medical service quality. The hospital's participation was under the umbrella of the private hospital association and with the support of SABEQ (Sustainable Achievement of Business Expansion and Quality) program which is a USAID funded program.

The specialty hospital representatives (Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, Mr. Hashem Abu Sneineh) dedicated huge efforts to inform people about Jordan and its medical sector. They tried to create a unique image about Jordan in the delegates' minds. The conference as a whole was a good chance to market Jordan and its medical tourism and to create more relations with people from different countries that includes India, Korea, Philippines and even U.K, Australia and the U.S.A. Dr. Fawzi Alhammouri the General Manager of the specialty hospital and the chairman of the private hospitals association, gave a beneficial lecture that gave delegates a good idea about Jordan specifically, and the Middle East in general and the medical tourism in both of them. Dr Fawzi discussed the cross borders patients' movement in the Middle East and the benefits of the growth of the medical tourism in Jordan and the Middle East.
