The Modern Medical Center in Alsancak  was built on a boutique concept in 3500 square as part of Kent Hospital.  The Modern Center with  international health standards provide emergency medical services, outpatient services in all branches, radiological examinations, and laboratory services with 5-star hotel comfort.

 In Medical Center can be made day surgery and small interventions. Radiology units and modern laboratories serves patients as prevents them from wasting time.

Our inpatient services include a VIP suite room, 10 suite rooms, and 192 standard rooms. We also have a 24-bed adult ICU (cardiac, surgical, medical), a 6-incubator neonatal ICU, and 7 operating rooms; 2 surgery rooms each in size of 55 m² allocated for cardiovascular surgery  and 5 surgery rooms each in size of 48 m² where operations can be easily performed under microscope.

Kent Hospital is now one of Turkey's private hospitals where to date, our experienced liver transplant team has performed over 1700 successful liver transplants and over 150 transplantations per year. 

The success rate of Kent Hospital’s liver transplant team in liver transplant to babies is above the world average.

More than half of all paediatric liver transplants performed in our country was realized by Kent Hospital.

Today, liver  transplant is considered as a routine, effective and advanced method of treatment applied to many chronic organ diseases. Sources of organ transplants are divided into two classes: cadaveric and living donors.

 Liver Transplantation with Living-related Donors is a the type of operation where partial liver is transplanted from living relatives (mother, father, siblings, spouse or other ) of the patient who has liver disease and is in need of organ transplantation. The relatives must volunteer for this.  

In our living donor liver transplantations, each of the three steps of the procedure is performed by a specialist who focuses only on that portion of the procedure. Careful removal of the donor piece, transfer to the recipient, then connection of the blood vessels and bile ducts using a surgical microscope are required for a successful living donor transplant.

Obtaining the donor portion of the liver is performed by Assoc. Prof. Murat Zeytunlu, placing it in the recipient is overseen by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat K?l?c, and microsurgery for the anastamoses is performed by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Alper.

Kidney Transplant Center of Kent Hospital provides service with a team of kidney transplant experts who received their higher degree of specialization at leading kidney transplant centers of the United States after having received their kidney transplant training at Hacettepe University, which performed the first kidney transplant inTurkey.

Kidney transplantations are being made in our A group private hospitals with 99% success rate of kidney transplantation.

The objective of Kidney Transplant Center of Kent Hospital is to save kidney patients from a life dependent uponhemodialysis and kidney transplant waiting list, and to ensure them to return to their healthy and productive lives. The center also aims at expanding kidney transplant applications in our country and to promote organ donation and raise sensitivity of people on this issue. The kidney transplant program offers:

• Living donor kidney transplant (living related and living unrelated)
• Living donor paired exchange (swap)

Our Transplant Team performs paired kidney exchange, also known as a “kidney swap” occurs when a living kidney donor (the relative or friend) is incompatible with the recipient, and so exchanges kidneys with another donor/recipient pair. This kidney paired donation transplant enables two incompatible recipients to receive healthy, more compatible kidneys.

When you contact our center for transplant, your pre-operative examinations will be completed within a few days, and all the hospital staff will help you to ensure you to restore your health without awaiting your turn for the transplant.

IVF Center of Kent Hospital has been serving with the latest technology and experienced team since 2004. Our principle is to ensure pregnancy as soon as possible by selecting the most appropriate method for couples.

Reasons for infertility are analyzed at our center; general health tests, hormone analysis (basal hormone profile), semen analysis (semen), immunological tests, if necessary, uterus film (HSG), hysteroscopy, office hysteroscopy, uterus examination tests are also carried out.

Once the diagnosis has been confirmed, treatment options and procedures applied at IVF laboratory are as follows:

EMBRYO FREEZING

If you have excessive embryos with sufficient quality, they may be frozen to be transferred in the future. Vitrification being the most successful method is used at our center for it. The embryologist will decide whether embryos can be frozen or not and will inform you.

Bone marrow transplant and/or peripheric blood stem cell transplant is the healing of the stem cells damaged by high dose chemotherapy (drugs) and/or radiotherapy (radiation) used in treatment of cancer and non-cancer blood diseases.

It is a quite easy procedure that generally does not have complications. Bone marrow transplantation is not an operation.

With the treatment which is also named as stem cell transplantation in our day, blood stem cells that will regenerate the blood system are given. This process covers a long lasting treatment.

There are Three Types of Bone Marrow Transplant;

Allogeneic Transplant: the transplant made by taking stem cells from the patient’s own siblings, family members or unrelated donors whose tissue groups match with the patient.

Autologous Transplant: the transplant made by collecting the patient’s stem cells from herself/himself and giving back to herself/himself.

In the center that consists of the doctor team of two hematology specialist professors experienced on Stem Cell, a biologist experienced in apheresis and stem cell freezing, 10 nurses and personnel experienced on their subject, there are 10 patient beds.

All diet kinds mainly being the neutropenic (freed of microbes) diet offered to the patients in our center are constantly inspected by a dietician experienced in respect of contents and quality standards.

Our specialist Psychologist provides the necessary psychological support to patients before and after the transplantation. For drug storage and preparation guidelines in chemotherapy and other medication applications, a Pharmacist renders service in our center.

In Kent Hospital, what we do more then others in the world in terms of  screening?
 

In Kent Hospital, we have a unique check up unit in which the process is fully structured. We have the sample withdrawal, ECG and the exercise ECG unit, ultrasonography. The test packages which we created,  rely on the guidelines of USPSTF (United States Preventive Services task Force). (Some of the panel contents exceed the minimum suggestions of USPSTF. ). Also if you have a default test package which your insurance or company supplied, we contemplate it to coverage of all health risks and give you a chance to have a complete screening.
 You only Schedule your appointment and come to the unit with 12-14 hours preliminary fast. All the other details are arranged in a comfortable environment in an evidence based manner.
 

There will come a time when people make their screening done yearly as the norm.

In the cardiovascular surgery clinic that has been rendering service uninterruptedly since Kent Hospital was founded, many important cardiovascular surgery interventions are being made with low mortality and morbidity rates in standards of developed countries.

Every kind of complicated or special intervention of peripheral vascular surgery including carotid surgery also after the successfully performed operations, patients are monitored in our clinic where a cardiovascular surgery specialist is present 24 hours with the experience of long years and under the light of the guidelines.

Experience of open heart surgery over 3400 and around two thousand aortic surgeries.

With its team specialized in aorta surgery primarily being Professor Doctor Suat Buket, many interventions such as thoracoabdominal aortic operations are performed with quite low complication rates. Again, coronary bypass and cardiac valve operations are applied succesfully with high patient series by following the contemporary updating one-to-one.

My wife, Anna Kalandarishvili, learned that she was infected with hepatitis C virus during an operation 16 years ago. Unfortunately, her liver fibrosis advanced over the years until it reached stage F2-F3. Despite treatment with interferon, her disease continued to progress. Three months ago, our doctors in Georgia recommended that we come to Kent Hospital in Izmir, Turkey for a liver transplant. To that end, we contacted Assoc. Prof. Murat K?l?ç in order to make the appointment with him and his transplant team. My wife’s condition was very serious... after the examination at Kent Hospital, a date was set for the operation by Dr. K?l?ç. He and his highly professional team successfully carried out the operation, and my wife had the chance to get back to her normal life.

It is difficult to express in words the gratitude and admiration we feel towards Assoc. Prof. Murat K?l?ç and his team for giving life back to my wife. We loved the friendly atmosphere at Kent Hospital, and the professionalism and kindness of the medical staff at every level. The hard work of our coordinator, Nana Svintradze, made our stay especially enjoyable and trouble-free.

Ibrahim Ayhan Sürücü who was three months and 10 days old as he lied on surgery table in Kent Hospital, Izmir, Turkey and got off the operation table with the title "the youngest baby who had liver transplantation in Turkey", grew up, achieved walking and already completed 2 years of his life.  His mother Aysel and father Nusret Sürücü who had the fear of losing their little son every moment, now chase after their son and say "These days were like dream for us, we still cannot believe".

Two children have given a "gift of life" to their fathers who were able to recover their health via liver transplantation. Without a moment's hesitation, Merve (20) has donated a part of her liver to her father As?m Gündüz (51) and Ahmet (22) to his father Ibrahim Gönülta? (46). Two dads began their new lives with liver parts transplanted from their children at Izmir Kent Hospital with a 27 days interval. Gündüz and Gönülta?, who already celebrated the first Father's Day in their second lives, have commented "Our children have gifted us "life", the most beautiful present a dad can get on Father's Day" while they embraced their children.
