From the beginning to the end, it was seamless. You have to understand I spent years researching trying to find the perfect daughter for my needs. I was introduced to Placid Way that introduced me to many many doctors, but I ended up finding Dr. Victor Samano and couldn’t be happier. Aileen his associate was such a pleasure and very responsive to all my questions and I had a lot of them. They did a double blepharoplasty on my ice and a roll face and neck left. Always done within three hours. I spent one night in the hospital then was released to go back. To my hotel where I could start to heal. The hospital was super clean and the nurses were on top of everything after getting back to the hotel day one through three or very painful and didn’t even recognize myself and actually the pain wasn’t that bad. It was more being uncomfortable with the headdress on. As time went on I see that five and six were my turnaround days and holy can I ever notice a big difference from the beginning to the ending Cancun, Dr. Samano we’re in touch on a daily basis to see how I was doing. I’ve even been back five days and they still both check in to make sure I’m OK I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. That’s a five star Dr. Samano with his professionalism was also a five star and Aikeen being very punctual with Messages and giving me all the information I needed to go forward was a definite five star as well. I can’t say much more, but I give this whole experience a time it wasn’t easy at the time of going in I had a lot of anxiety, but Dr. Samano and his team took very good care of me. I’m looking in the future to have some other things done with his clinic. So if you’re looking for a great doctor with great credentials, great bedside manner, professional clean speaks English. He’s your guy. If I knew how to submit pictures, I definitely would’ve done that. Monique March 22, 2025

Really happy with the service! The entire team is great (especially our Dr Francisco), they are so helpful and make sure you're comfortable. Had all the dental job done quickly, with minimal pain and for reasonable price. The shuttle service is nice too - no need to worry about the transportation after your treatment. Highly recommended!

I have a tendency to conduct endless research before I make a major purchase and this was no exception. I was considering making a major purchase to improve my smile. After several weeks reading reviews and researching the best dentists in Mexico I found Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen. I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. Like most people I've lost that bright smile and have been concerned with how much my teeth had yellowed over the course of many years. Getting veneers was an option I wanted to explore but the cost in the US was prohibitive. That's when I found Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen. I spoke with the clinic and they answered all my questions and provided an estimate for the work I wanted. It was probably 20-30% of what it would have cost here. Despite the excellent reviews I was of course concerned about flying two hours out of the country to visit a dentist across the border. I found the clinic to be state of the art and the staff young, friendly and professional. They all spoke English and patiently explained everything that would take place. After my consultation on Tuesday I returned Wednesday for a surgical extraction in preparation for a bridge. I have to say this was the one issue that concerned me. It turned out to be a non issue. When I say I felt no pain I mean I felt "No Pain!" Dr. Martha was incredible and I experienced no discomfort in the days that followed. It was suggested I allow 8-10 days for the work to be completed. It turns out that I was there for 8 days and had some additional work done. My dentist back home had quoted about $500 for a surgical extraction and another $5000 for a four unit bridge. Smile Makeover extracted the tooth and charged me $54.00 and provided a temporary bridge for $675. I go back in six months for the permanent bridge. On Thursday I was back for the prep work for 20 porcelain veneers. Dr. Kimberly reshaped my teeth, took molds and provided temporary veneers until the permanents could be made. I had the next 4 days to enjoy the beach and shops while the lab created the finished product. I returned the next Tuesday and in less than 2 hours I had the smile I'd always wanted. My family and friends were so impressed 2 of them are planning their own trips across the border. I know this is a rather lengthy review of my experience with Smile Makeover but I wanted to provide as much personal information as possible to help someone else make this major decision. Don't be afraid to come to Mexico for your dental work and consider Smile Makeover Playa Del Carmen as the best choice, both professionally and financially.

The only thing good i can say is that the hospital food was good. Other than that, i travelled over from Canada years ago for a tummy tuck, that i later had to pay 7000$ for a revision on and they STILL couldnt completely fix it. I will start from the beginning, because no one should consider this place. I got recommended staying at the hotel attached to the hospital for aftercare, of which they didnt provide until the VERY end of my trip to remove the stitches from the tuck itself. I had some issues with my stitches in my drains and they wanted to charge me 500$ to use emerg in the hospital to fix it, and i ended up having to remove them myself, with the drains because it was tearing my skin. Second off, i had dog ears, my skin wasnt pulled enough, my belly button was gigantic and had 3 holes in it. The doctor refused to fix the issues, wanted me to pay travel and a new tuck to fix or cut my belly button in office with no anesthesia to fix it, which is insane. Office was extremely unprofessional about it and didnt want to help me. I had to pay 7000$ out of pocket for a revision with another doctor. I had to get a whole new tummy tuck to cut off the terrible scar and scar placement as well as the dog ears, this doctor did my belly button so horribly that they couldnt fix it, therefore i have to have this issue for the rest of my life. They switched my doctor last minute as well which i was uncomfortable with, but if i declined i wouldve spent thousands on travel for nothing so i just rolled with it, and its something i will regret for the rest of my life. Dont do what i did. Go elsewhere. It has been mentally draining me for years going through this, i was ashamed of my body, and scared to write a review. Now i am comfortable after a revision and want to tell my story. Do not waste your time going here, i highly recommend against it.
