Prof. Gianluca Polvani, Heart Surgery - Milan, Italy

Prof. Gianluca Polvani is Full Professor of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Milan Medical School, Head of Cardiac Surgery 2^nd Unit and of Cardiovascular Telemedecine Unit at Centro Cardiologico Monzino , Milan .

He is also Director of the Graduate Course in Cardio-Circulatory Physiopathology and Cardiovascular Perfusion Techniques and member of Doctoral School of Physiopathological Neuropsychobiological Sciences and Life Cycle Care. From 2010 he is Head of Research Laboratory in Cardiovascular Tissue Engineering at Centro CardiologicoMonzino.

Prof. Polvani performed more than 3800 surgical procedures in Cardiac Surgery. As reported In the annual Clinical Audit of the Centro Cardiologico Monzino, Polvani’s clinical record represents greater complexity and the lowest mortality rate.

National and International appointments: Consultant to the Regional Health System for the Home Care Rehabilitation Program (RHS) – Group Leader of a National Research Project in home care rehabilitation in heart surgery patients and home care monitoring in heart failure patients
