He did his Elementary And High School from Colegio San José Medellín, Colombia. Afterwards he went to Medical School: CES University School of Medicine Medellín, Colombia, He also did Master in Human Reproduction from University of Valencia, Spain.

Acheivements

• Co-founder of the Institute of Human Fertility – inSer, a pioneer Human Fertility Center and Human IVF Institute in Medellín since 1994.
• Two years as Scientific Director at IVI in Murcia, Spain (2000).
• Medical Chief and Board President. Besides, he is Past President of The Colombian Association of Fertility and Sterility and Past President of the regional Association of Gynecologists and Obstetricians.
• He is also past Director for the Latin-American network of fertility centers for the area of Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.
• He teaches both pre and post graduate students at the University CES and the University of Antioquia.
• Co-director of the first Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine in Colombia certified by ICFES – Instituto Colombiano para el Fomento de la Educación Superior – Colombian Higher Education Fostering Institute

AWARDS:

• On 1994 he obtained recognition for research in Spain during the National Specialty Congress.
• Latin American Award for best research on human fertility during the Latin American Congress of Fertility and Sterility Societies in Panama City on 1998, and the National Awards in the 1996 and 2003 Congresses.
• He has also written articles for scientific journals and chapters in medical textbooks.
