About - Dr. Shahid Rashid
Dr. Shahid Rashid completed his Bachelors in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) in Rawalpindi Medical College, Pakistan - 1983. He then received his Masters in Surgery from the Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI), Pakistan in 1992. He then became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in the UK (FRCS - UK) in 1998. Dr. Shahid also became a fellow of the European Board of Pediatric Surgery (FEBPS - UK) in 2011. Dr. Shahid has worked in a number of hospitals in Pakistan. He started his career at Fauji Foundation Medical Centre in 1985. Subsequently, he moved to other hospitals which include Rawalpindi General Hospital and Rawalpindi Medical College Hospital. In 1993, he joined the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital and was in charge of the Surgery Unit. In 1994, Dr. Shahid moved to the United Arab Emirates and practiced in a well-known private hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was in charge of management of surgical as well as medical emergencies. 3 years later, he specialized in pediatric surgery and was handling cases for pediatric and neonatal emergencies. Dr. Shahid Rashid has an experience of more than 30 years spanning the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates,and Pakistan. He has been active in teaching and training medical students, as well as being a mentor to junior clinicians. He has a number of research publications to his credit and is a regular participant and speaker in medical conferences and workshops.
