Graduated in 1987 from the University of Barcelona, specialized in neurosurgery, in 1994 did a continuous education program, in neurosurgery of epilepsy at the Ronald Regan UCLA medical center in Los Angeles.

At the present time he is Associated Professor of neurosurgery at the University of Barcelona, and the Coordinator of the Functional Neurosurgery Program, for adults and pediatrics at the Hospital Clinic and at the Hospital St. Joan de Deu in Barcelona, respectively.
