I am Dr. Sonia Diaz, founder of ICA, Institute of Advanced Surgery in 2010. I was trained in my beloved country, Peru as a medical surgeon with my only aspiration to save lives and bring medicine to people disadvantaged from remote places performing both medical treatments and surgeries in the destinations where I was.

Finally, I worked as a manager of a health center and hospitalization in the city of Querobamba, Peru. In 2003 we came to Spain to Malaga working in Social Security in Emergency, Pediatrics and Family Physician. In Helicopteros Sanitarios in emergency medicine. Finally in 2007 I moved to Tenerife to work in the emergency room in Hospiten Bellevue, having also worked in Clinica Park, Life Clinic. In 2010 I open my own clinic with different medical specialties in Puerto de la Cruz, I trained in 2011 in Aesthetic Medicine at the Balearic Islands University with a Master's degree.

In 2013 Masters course of Specialization in Aesthetic Surgery at the Rey Juan Carlos University with internships in cosmetic surgery in different clinics in Spain, being my mentor the prestigious Surgeon Dr. Hilario Robledo. In 2016, to complement the unit of aesthetic medicine, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree in Aesthetic Gynecology and Oncological Aesthetic Medicine for patients with Cancer.

In the year 2016, I opened a new Costa Adeje clinic, in Avenida Avenida 9, Jardines del Duque. And fruit of my work as a doctor in my specialty and business success on April 22, 2016 in Madrid, the Institute for Professional Excellence awards me the Gold Medal for Professional Excellence. On July 26 of that same year, the Gold Medal for Work Merit by the Most Excellent Marquise was imposed by Decree Mrs. Miriam de la Sierra and Urquijo. And finally this same year 2018 the Royal Academy of Science Ramon y Cajal summons me and name me honorary member of The academy.

In the year 2017 I created the Association for the promotion of profit for oncological patients in need of aesthetic treatments, AMEIPO and as Co-founder I participate in creating the Medical Association for non-profit oncology patients, GEMEON. ICA currently has the following units of medical specialties, with their respective unit heads for each specialty.
