Constance Care Rehabilitation Center ® is a modern, privately owned medical center . It is located in Kierszek, near Konstancin-Jeziorna, 30 minutes from downton Warsaw, 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from Konstancin-Jeziorna health resort.

The Center is surrounded by green areas ready to be explored while walking, riding a bike or even a horse from stables nearby. Thanks to well-known microclimate of Konstancin-Jeziorna outdoor activities are not only pleasant, but also beneficial for patients’ health.

The Constance Care Team gathers experienced doctors of various disciplines, from reputable clinics and institutes of Warsaw, physiotherapists, sensory integration therapists, masseurs, speech therapists, psychologist and dietician. HAL® is the only device that is activated and controlled directly by the nervous system of the patient – the so-called active exoskeleton.

 HAL®  can be used in the following diseases:

HAL® Therapy

Therapy using HAL® System

Recommended length of therapy for people with spinal cord injury:  12 weeks (60 sessions on HAL)

Recommended length of therapy for people after stroke: 12 weeks (60 session on HAL)

Recommended length of therapy for people with multiple sclerosis:    Four-week stays (20 sessions on HAL) repeated at intervals of one or two months

Therapy includes:

  • Medical consultation at the beginning and end of each month (every 4 weeks)
  • Gait training using HAL System / 5 session per week (Monday-Friday) (duration of each session till up 90 min )
  • Individual therapy (up to 4 x50 minutes – daily) Monday – Friday , up to 3×50 min – Saturday
  • Body massage
  • Physiotherapy (for example electrostimulation, magneto therapy , ultrasound) up to 4 procedures per day

Total time spent on therapy is approximately 260-330 minutes daily.

There is possibility of accommodation outside the resort. In this case, the patient will have two three-hour therapeutic sessions in our clinic. The cost of accommodation and meals are on the patient side.

Therapy preparing to use HAL® System or as an independent therapy – without using HAL System (An example of the scope of therapy)

Time frames of rehabilitation are adjusted to current patient’s health condition (2-6 weeks). Therapy is conducted 6 days per week.

It is important that after completion of the therapy with neuromuscular biofeedback its effects remain stable, of course, provided that the patient.

How can you participate in HAL therapy?

As a paralyzed patient, ask your attending physician or physical therapist if you still have a residual activity in the muscles relevant for the hip and knee joints. Your medical records then need to be forwarded to Constance Care Rehabilitation in Poland where an initial medical evaluation will take place.
