- Chief Physician Emeritus of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute.

facility. - 2010 - 2012 - Scientific Director of the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute of Milan and Chairman of the Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SIOT).

Scientific activities:
- Founder of the new ‘Archivio di Ortopedia e Reumatologia’ (Orthopaedics and Rheumatology Archive), a journal that began publication as ‘Archivio di Ortopedia’ (Orthopaedics Archive) in 1874 and it was the first publication on orthopaedic sciences in Italy.
- Founding member and Past President of the Italian Club of Osteosynthesis.
- Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
